Workshop, Tigers game scheduled by ACC-MI


The Association of Corporate Counsel, Michigan Chapter, will host its “ACC-MI Summer Social & Professional Development” event on Wednesday, July 10, at Comerica Park in Detroit.

A professional development workshop with Susan Diehl will take place from 5 to 6 p.m.  Afterwards, attendees can enjoy a Detroit Tigers game from a private suite.

SADO webinar looks at
‘Working with Investigators’


The  State Appellate Defender Office and Criminal Defense Resource Center will present a virtual lunchtime training on “Working with Investigators” Tuesday, July 16, from noon to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Attendees will learn instances and situations that require an investigator, tasks that investigators perform, suggested dos and don’ts for investigators and attorneys, and how to locate and choose an investigator.
Speaking at the training will be Felicia Legion, a professional investigator who focuses on interacting with clients and witnesses. She is the owner and operator of Inquiring Eyes LLC, an investigation firm that specializes in criminal defense and appeals.

Prosecutor to discuss ‘OWI Forfeiture’


The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan will present the Traffic Safety Training Program Webinar “OWI Forfeiture” on Thursday, July 18, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.

The St. Clair County Prosecutor’s Office has had a successful OWI forfeiture program in place since 2009.  

This webinar will cover how its office was able to effectively implement a successful OWI forfeiture program, best practices, and lessons learned after years of having this program in place.

Chief Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Guilliat from the St. Clair County Prosecutor’s Office will lead the webinar.
