?Michigan man arraigned for owing more than $13K in child support

Randall Auchmuty, 48, of Kimball was arraigned this week in Clinton Township 41B District Court for failing to pay his child support on his two minor children.

According to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office, Auchmuty was ordered in December of 2019 by Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Matthew Switalski to pay $455.00 a month in child support for his two children. 

Auchmuty has had three ow-cause hearings and one bench warrant issued for allegedly not paying his child support.  

He allegedly owes over $13,000 in back child support.

Auchmuty was arraigned on Monday by Clinton Township 41B District Court Magistrate Ryan Zemke where bond was set at $3,341.00 which is 25% of the arrears owed. 

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Monday, July 15, 2024 by Clinton Township 41B District Court Judge Sebastian Lucido. 

“By neglecting his duty to support his children, he is not only breaking the law but also betraying the trust and responsibility that comes with parenthood,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido. “This failure is an injustice to his children, who deserve better.”
