The Michigan Judicial Institute, in collaboration with the Friend of the Court Bureau and the Office of Dispute Resolution will present “Access and Visitation Grant Program and Supervised Parenting Time Funding” online Thursday, July 18, from 9 to 10 a.m. via Zoom.

The webinar will detail the history, process, and intricacies of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Access and Visitation Grant Program service contracts.

These contracts support and facilitate noncustodial parents’ parenting time with their children by providing supervised parenting time and neutral drop-off/pick-up services for their children.

The new grant cycle begins October 1 and this webinar will provide information about applying for program funding, alternative program designs used by Friends of the Court, and will answer questions Friend of the Court offices may have about the program.

There will also be a brief discussion on additional opportunities that may be available to fund supervised parenting time in the courts’ communities.

Speaking at the webinar will be Michelle Hilliker, manager, Office of Dispute Resolution, State Court Administrative Office, Michigan Supreme Court.
