Macomb County man convicted of severely injuring 11-week-old son

A Macomb County circuit court jury has convicted 36-year-old Adam Doe on first-degree child abuse charges following a three-week trial.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office said Doe injured his 11-week-old son last February, causing multiple severe brain injuries and fractures.

Doe was remanded to the Macomb County Jail after his jury handed down the verdict last Friday.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

“Our hearts go out to the young victim and his family, who have endured unimaginable pain and suffering,” said Prosecutor Peter Lucido. “This conviction brings
some measure of justice for the severe injuries inflicted upon this innocent child. We hope this verdict provides a sense of closure and reassurance that such
actions will not go unpunished in our society.”
