Attorney appointed to new role with Governor’s Office


Attorney Marc Rehmann will be transitioning to a new advisor role in the executive office of Governor Gretchen Whitmer, where he will lead the administration's efforts on key issues, including economic development and the state budget.

Rehmann joined the Executive Office of the Governor in 2021 as the policy director. Before joining the administration, he served as the deputy chief of staff to U.S. Representative Diana DeGette (D-CO), a senior campaign manager at the Center for American Progress, and a legislative aide to U.S. Representative Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas).

Rehmann received both his J.D. and undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in 2012 and 2006, respectively.

Law school hosts Happy Hour in Ferndale, Aug. 13


Wayne State University Law School and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will host a Happy Hour for an end of summer celebration at Urbanrest Brew­ing Company on Tuesday, August 13, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Wayne Law alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends will gather at Urbanrest Brewing Company located at 2615 Wolcott St. in Ferndale. Free parking is located in the parking lot next to the building and surrounding areas.
