Firm Hosts AAPC

Bodman PLC hosted the African American Partner Collective (AAPC) in the firm’s Detroit office for their monthly meeting Aug. 14. Bodman’s Chris Rambus, Aaron Roberson Jr., Damali Sahu, and David Walker all participated in the meeting, which also included several partners from other major Detroit firms. The participants discussed a variety of topics including mentorship, recruiting, and ways to better support and prepare young Black law students in Michigan.
The AAPC was established after a series of informal discussions among African American partners at major metropolitan Detroit law firms who perceived a significant decline in the number of Black lawyers at these firms. The AAPC is contributing to the conversation about improving diversity and inclusion in the legal industry and sponsors programs to achieve that goal.
