ALA hosts Business Partner Expo
The Halloween-themed event will take place Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Detroit Institute of Arts, 5200 Woodward Ave. in Detroit.
ALA will be awarding a prize for best decorated booth (no costumes or props).
Meanwhhile, donations will be collected for the Play-Place Autism & Special Needs Center in Sterling Heights. It is a non-profit, volunteer run center that provides sensory haircuts, field trips, and special-needs, sensitive respite services for children.
ALA is looking for art supplies such as acrylic paint, canvases, googly eyes, and any other art activities.

NCSC webinar examines court
navigator programs
Court navigator programs are gaining popularity in jurisdictions across the country. These programs guide people through the legal process and are crucial in establishing connections to community-based behavioral health, social, and human services.
Webinar attendees will learn more about three jurisdictions using court navigators to assist court users.
The program will also offer insights into the role that behavioral health administrators within the administrative office of the courts play in coordinating and supporting court navigator programs.
