Varnum launches innovative diversity fellowship for 1L? law students

Varnum LLP has launched 1Elevate, a fellowship program  for 1L law students that offers a pathway to full-time, post-graduation employment with the firm.

The fellowship is focused on recruiting law students from historically underrepresented backgrounds or allies of such groups that share Varnum’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

The fellowship offers participants a paid summer associate position during their 1L summer, with the potential to receive a full-time post-graduation job offer at the end of the fellowship.

Fellows will be invited to return as 2L summer associates and may gain in-house legal experience with one of Varnum’s clients. Fellows will also benefit from extended mentorship throughout their 2L year, including networking and coaching opportunities.
