Varnum LLP has launched 1Elevate, an innovative fellowship program designed specifically for first-year law students that offers a pathway to full-time, post-graduation employment with the firm. The fellowship is focused on recruiting law students from historically underrepresented backgrounds or allies of such groups that share Varnum’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
The 1Elevate fellowship offers participants a paid summer associate position during their 1L summer, with the potential to receive a full-time post-graduation job offer at the end of the fellowship.
Fellows will be invited to return as 2L summer associates and may gain in-house legal experience with one of Varnum’s clients.
Fellows will also benefit from extended mentorship throughout their second year of law school, including networking and professional coaching opportunities.
