Valentine’s Day Concert with Ian Maksin

The West Michigan Symphony will present the enchanting musical odyssey of cellist Ian Maksin.

Breaking boundaries, his passionate performance weaves diverse genres, layering rich tapestries of sound with electronic looping devices.

‘Transcending Tradition’
runs through May 11


The Muskegon Museum of Art will host “Transcending Tradition: Selection of works from the Bennett Collection of Women Realists,” February 6 to May 11.

The Bennett Collection is a growing collection of figurative realist paintings by women artists founded by San Antonio art collectors Steven Alan Bennett and Dr. Elaine Melotti Schmidt.

This exhibition highlights work by both historical and contemporary women painters, such as Artemesia Gentileschi, Mary Cassatt, Elaine de Kooning, Andrea Kowch, Zoey Frank, Katie O’Hagan, and many more.

Tymeless Klock Band to
perform February 13


Muskegon’s own Tymeless Klock Band will perform Thursday, February 13, 7 to 8:30 p.m.,  in the Community Room of the MADL?Norton Shores Branch, in a Thursday Night Music Club performance.

The band is known for a smooth contemporary style of jazz, with a taste of R&B as well as blues.
