On February 28, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 5000 block of E R Ave. in Pavilion Township for a large party where a shooting occurred. Two individuals were struck by gun fire and were transported to Borgess Hospital with non-life- threatening injuries. The incident occurred while people were trying to prevent a fight from occurring. The shooter isn’t known at this time.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Michigan State Police, Portage Department of Public Safety, LIFE EMS, and Pavilion Fire.
