For residents who need internet access but don’t have a reliable source at home, the Galesburg Charleston Library is now offering wireless mobile hot spots for cardholders to check out.
The devices allow users to connect their computers, tablets and smartphones to high-speed internet from anywhere.
To be eligible to borrow a hotspot, individuals must be a resident of either the City of Galesburg or Charleston Township, be 18 years of age or older and have an active GCMDL account at time of check out. The patron’s account must have no overdue items and less than $5.00 in fines.
Hotspots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and will be checked out for one week.
Call 269-665-7839 for additional information.
