Oakland County Circuit Court swore in its newest judge during a an investiture ceremony last month.

Judge Tricia R. Dare was officially sworn in by her friend and mentor, Judge Lisa Gorcyca.  Dare expressed her gratitude and joy to Gorcyca for being an instrumental part of her life and career.

Dare was surrounded by a host of judges, attorneys, family, friends, and supporters. She indicated her investiture was her platform to publicly and personally thank everyone for the overwhelming support she received during her campaign and after her election.

She also thanked the entire Sixth Judicial bench for being so welcoming and kind and an amazing group of individuals.

On hand to welcome her to the bench and participating in the Investiture was Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald and Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard.

Prior to joining the bench, Dare was a member of the Oakland County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office where she held several leadership positions.

Dare will handle cases in the Family Division.
