On Thursday, April 3, at approximately 11:48 a.m. the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office was called to the area of Burgess Dr. and New St. in the City of Galesburg for an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, the victim reported being grabbed while walking down Burgess Dr. He stated the suspect then put a knife to his back and told him to empty his pockets.
The suspect then fled the area on foot, after taking the victim’s items. A K-9 track was conducted, but the suspect was unable to be located at this time.
The victim was not injured during this incident and at this time it is believed to be an isolated incident.
