While an Easter Egg hunt tradition will continue in the City of Galesburg, the location has changed.
After holding the event at Ike Payne Park for many years, the Galesburg Augusta Business and Community Association sponsored event will be held at the old Maskill Field next to the G-A Primary School Saturday, April 19, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Other local Easter Egg hunts will be held April 19 at 11 a.m. in the Hickory Heights area on the campus of Climax-Scotts Jr./Sr. High School (sponsored by the Climax and Scotts United Methodist Churches), followed by a hot dog luncheon at the Climax UMC Fellowship Hall; at Galesburg Congregational United Church of Christ following the 10 a.m. Easter worship service; and at Prairie Baptist Church for kids 2 years through 12th grade following the 11 a.m. Easter service.
