Detroit woman guilty at 2nd pot trial
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A Lincoln jury has convicted a 41-year-old Detroit woman of helping haul 727 pounds of pot across the country.

It was the second trial for Sarah McGee. In February, the jury couldn't decide whether she knew about the plans of her two traveling companions to carry the 35 bales of marijuana from Arizona to Michigan. She had testified that she didn't.

The three were arrested after an Interstate 80 traffic stop on June 1, 2009, in Lincoln. The pot was found in a pop-up camper being hauled behind their vehicle.

Her companions were found guilty as well: Forty-four-year-old Stuart Howard has been given 10-to-14 years in prison; sentencing for 56-year-old Anthony Laws is set for Aug. 26.
Both men also are from Detroit.
