Attorney John T. Carter (right) of Carter & Affiliates PC spoke at a seminar titled “Legal Pitfalls Around E-Commerce and Online Marketing” presented Friday, Aug. 6, by the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce in Rochester Hills. Welcoming Carter to the seminar was Chamber Executive Director Sheri Heiney (left). “The purpose of the workshop is to give folks an understanding of some of the rules and concerns around e-commerce and selling products and services online,” said Carter. The seminar also covered the implementation of strategies for using trademarks and keywords to maximize search engine optimization while minimizing liability and protecting one’s intellectual property.
