Honigman attorney Borenstein appointed to AAM exec board
  Jonathan R. Borenstein, a partner in Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn’s Real Estate Department, has been appointed to serve as an executive board vice president for the Apartment Association of Michigan.
  Borenstein, who is located in Honigman’s Oakland County office, has a broad range of experience advising clients on real estate matters, both regionally and nationally.  He represents real estate owners, operators and developers of multi-family housing, commercial, hotel, office and industrial developments, as well as lenders, contractors and investors.
  Borenstein is a member of the National Multi Housing Council and serves on the MSU School of Planning, Design and Construction Alumni Advisory Board.  He also serves on Cranbrook Educational Community’s Board of Trustees and the School’s Board of Governors.
  He was recognized in Best Lawyers in America in 2010 and 2011.
  Borenstein earned a J.D., cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School and a B.A. from Michigan State University.
 

ISIAL to host its 15th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade Brunch
  Clad in their Irish finery with matching shamrock ties and socks, the Irish-American Lawyers, will host their 15th annual St. Patrick’s Day Brunch complete with Irish musical entertainment, Irish folklore, and snappy commentary from our co-hosts, Assistant United States Attorney Michael Riordan, and former State Senator Bruce Patterson. There will be great food, entertainment, camaraderie, and plenty of jokes and musings from our federal, state, and local political leaders, federal and state judges, Detroit area Irish-American lawyers, as well as other dignitaries and guests.
  The event will be held on Sunday, March 13 (Parade Day) at Mario’s Restaurant in Detroit, located at 4222 Second Ave. (in the mid-town area) in Detroit, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., program to start about 11:15 am. The event will end just before the start of the St. Patrick’s Day parade down Michigan Ave. in Corktown.  Shuttles to the parade will be provided for a small fee.
  Tickets for the brunch are: $300 for adults; $28 for law student members; and $10 for children under 12 if reserved in advance. Otherwise, tickets can be purchased at the door, but will be $35 for adults.
