The Health Law Partners
Adrienne Dresevic and Jessica Gustafson, founding partners of Southfield-based The Health Law Partners, recently presented at The Association for Medical Imaging Management’s (AHRA) 40th Annual Meeting and Expo in Orlando, Fla. Founding partner, Abby Pendleton made the announcement.
Dresevic and Gustafson spoke on key legal issues impacting radiology providers and suppliers, including new Medicare initiatives, Stark and Anti-Kickback Law, updates from the Office of the Inspector General, and practical tips on compliance issues. Nearly 1,000 imaging leaders attended the expo that took place over a three-day period.
Dresevic has published more than 60 articles on healthcare law and presents at national conferences throughout the year. Dresevic’s practice encompasses the full spectrum of healthcare law and has specialized her practice in Stark and fraud abuse. She received her law degree from Wayne State University Law School.
Gustafson specializes her practice in Recovery Audit Contracts and Medicare audit appeals, and she routinely publishes articles and speaks on the subject across the country. Gustafson graduated from Miami University, and earned her law degree from Wayne State University Law School. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, American Bar Association - Health Law Section and the State Bar of Michigan Bar Association – Healthcare Law Section.
Additionally, Dresevic and Gustafson were recognized as “Michigan Rising Stars” by Super Lawyers magazine. Founding partner, Robert Iwrey, made the announcement.

Butzel Long

Butzel Long attorneys Gary W. Klotz and Francyne B. Stacey were featured speakers during the American Society of Employers (ASE) Inaugural Employment Law Workshop on Tuesday, Sept.18, at Schoolcraft College in Livonia. Butzel Long was a sponsor of the program.
Klotz was featured during a luncheon “Ask the Lawyers” panel presentation on employee relations topics. Stacey presented a session titled “The Bermuda Triangle – The Interplay Between the ADA, Workers’ Compensation and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).” This session went over the basics of the ADA, Workers’ Compensation and FMLA and how they overlap. Participants worked through a series of scenarios that helped them identify issues that arise if and when one or more of these laws apply.
Klotz has represented employers in labor and employment law matters for more than 30 years. He has successfully defended employers in state and federal courts, as well as before state and federal administrative agencies. He also has experience representing employers in labor arbitration cases, collective bargaining negotiations, and preventive employee relations counseling.
Stacey counsels clients in the areas of employment and immigration law. Her experience in employment law includes representation of a diverse client base with an emphasis on guidance, counseling and drafting policies and practices to assist employers in running a successful business in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. She also is an experienced litigator and has handled a number of matters involving the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Americans With Disabilities Act, among others. In the immigration area, Stacey prepares and files non-immigrant and immigrant petitions on behalf of businesses and families.

“I am truly honored to receive such a prestigious award from the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit,” said Hauser. “After serving the community for more than 40 years, my hope is that future generations understand the importance of charitable giving and helping others.”
Hauser has served in numerous positions at organizations throughout southeast Michigan, including: past president of the United Jewish Foundation of Metropolitan Detroit, national vice chairman and member of the executive committee of United Jewish Communities and Federation’s Young Leadership Cabinet. He also has been involved with Oak Park Neighborhood Project, Jewish Community Center Applebaum Campus and Jewish – Senior Life.
