Reasonable Accommodation

Nemeth Burwell PC presented “Mastering the Interactive Process: Putting the Reasonable Back in Accommodation” as part of its Raising the Bar educational series on Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Troy Marriott.  Leading the program were Nemeth Burwell’s (l-r) Kathleen Gatti, Terry Bonnette, and Patricia Nemeth.  In 2008 the legislature amended the Americans with Disabilities Act and in 2009 the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission issued its new regulations subsequent to the changes.  “Under these new regulations employers are still struggling to figure out what is it exactly that they have to do in order to accommodate their disabled employees and that’s what we’re going to discuss today,” said Bonnette.
