Cooley Law School adds faculty

Thomas M. Cooley Law School has added three new faculty members at the school’s Tampa Bay campus. Professor Renalia Smith DuBose of Plant City, Fla.; Professor Victoria Cruz-Garcia of Tampa, Fla.; and Professor Barbara Kalinowski of Canton, Mich. will begin teaching in January as the school expands to offering afternoon classes. Cooley began offering evening classes when the school opened in May and morning classes were added  in September.
Kalinowski will join Cooley’s full-time faculty teaching Legal Research and Writing. Before joining Cooley as an adjunct professor at the school’s Michigan campuses, Kalinowski was the director of research, writing, and advocacy programs at Ave Maria School of Law. She has held positions with the Michigan Court of Appeals, the Third Judicial Circuit Court of Michigan, and operated a solo appellate research and brief writing practice. Kalinowski earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and juris doctor from Wayne State University, in Michigan.
