Redford Court holds amnesty program

Redford’s Seventeenth District Court invites the public to participate in its continuing Out County Collection Program for Detroit traffic tickets and its own local amnesty program for payable traffic tickets at the Courthouse on Beech Daly beginning on Tuesday, February 18.

Those individuals with eligible tickets will have the opportunity to clear delinquent citations in person without fear of being arrested upon their voluntary appearance.  Depending on the status of the offense, certain fees, such as the bench warrant fee, the late fee or the default fee may be waived. All payable parking, traffic and misdemeanor violations issued by police agencies within the Charter Township of Redford are included in the amnesty program. In addition, the 17th District Court will continue to accept payments on outstanding Detroit tickets under the Out County Collection Program which began in July, 2013.

All payments must be made in cash, certified check, credit or debit card.  Individuals seeking additional information can contact the court at (313)387-2790.
