White-collar crime to be topic at ABA meeting

Criminal law experts — including representatives from the Department of Justice — will discuss recent developments in white-collar crime investigations and enforcement during the 28th Annual National Institute on White Collar Crime, hosted by the American Bar Association Criminal Justice Section.

Bethany McLean, contributing editor for Vanity Fair magazine and co-author of “All the Devils Are Here” and “The Smartest Guys in the Room,” will provide keynote remarks during the luncheon session on March 6. McLean is noted for her extensive coverage of the Enron scandal and the 2008 financial crisis.

Experts will weigh in on topics such as sentencing in white-collar crime cases, investigation and prosecution of international corruption, enforcement of securities and tax fraud, cybercrime, money laundering and asset forfeiture.

The 28th Annual National Institute on White Collar Crime takes place March 5-7 in Miami Beach, Fla. For more information, visit www.ambar.org.
