Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that attorney Daniel D. Quick has been elected as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America™.
 
Quick is a member in the firm’s Troy office and is practice department manager for Commercial Litigation, Antitrust & Trade Regulation, ADR and Sports & Entertainment. He is a litigation attorney with a focus in the areas of commercial litigation (including shareholder disputes, trade secrets and non-compete cases) and copyright, entertainment, and intellectual property. 

He has served in leadership positions in the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, the Federal Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association, and the Oakland County Bar Foundation. Quick received his law degree from the University of Michigan.

In addition, Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that James J. Stapleton has joined the firm in the newly created role of chief business development and marketing officer.  He will be resident in the Detroit office.

Stapleton will oversee the direction and implementation of business development growth strategies and tactics.  His primary focus will be to improve demand generation, drive increased breadth of client relationships, and accelerate Dickinson Wright brand growth across key target markets.

Stapleton was previously the managing principal of LEAP Legal, a consulting firm that helped inhouse counsel optimize their relationships with their law firms.  Prior to that, he served as chief marketing officer at Fenwick & West and chief marketing and business development officer at Littler Mendelson.  He has also held international marketing and business development roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Arthur Andersen.

Stapleton has written and spoken extensively on topics as varied as client service, business development, sales, marketing and best-in-class operational metrics.  He is recognized as a marketing operations expert and teaches a master class in marketing and business development metrics for law firms.  He received his B.S.C. in Finance from Santa Clara University.

Plunkett Cooney
Plunkett Cooney trusts and estates attorney Frank D. Paolini was recently named an “Up & Coming Lawyer” by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.
 
A member of the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office, Paolini is a member of Plunkett Cooney’s Trusts & Estates Practice Group who focuses his practice primarily on trust and estate planning, administration and related litigation involving creditors, beneficiaries and fiduciaries. 

In addition, Paolini represents financial institutions and other lenders in troubled asset workouts, and he defends professional liability claims against attorneys, accountants, real estate agents and other professionals. 

Paolini received his law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2012.  He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Quinn Law Group PLLC
Craig C. Scheuern has become a shareholder in Quinn Law Group PLLC based in Novi.
 
He joined the firm in 2005. Scheuern concentrates his practice on the preparation and prosecution of domestic, international, and foreign patent applications in a variety of technical areas, including the electrical, software, and mechanical arts, as well as IP-related client counseling. 

Prior to joining Quinn Law Group, Scheuern gained experience in robotics, vehicle systems, power generation, nanotechnology, and compressed air and gas filtration. He worked for Parker Hannifin Corp. as a territory manager and applications engineer, and has also been a product engineer for Solectron Corp.

Scheuern also served as an intelligence operations officer in the United States Air Force where he specialized in remote sensing.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Michigan Technological University, where he specialized in automatic control systems. He received his law degree from Wayne State University Law School. 

Scheuern is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and is a member of the Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association.
