The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association hosted its 22nd Annual Trailblazer Awards Dinner on Thursday, June 11, at the Westin Hotel in Southfield. This year’s Trailblazer Awards honored (at left, l-r) U.S. District Court Judge Linda Parker, Eastern District of Michigan; Harold Pope of Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer, &?Weiss PC; and Marcia Goffney of Shared Vision Associates LLC. The Trailblazer Awards recognize leaders in the legal community based upon their continuous individual contributions to the betterment of the legal profession. The theme for this year’s event was “Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present, Focusing on the Future.” During the dinner, out-going Straker President Michael K. Jackson II (at right, right) of Miller, Canfield, Paddock, & Stone PLC was happy to welcome incoming President Aaron Burrell of Dickinson Wright PLLC.
