Bestselling author to deliver U-M Law's Senior Day Address

University of Michigan graduate and political thriller author Brad Meltzer, AB ’92, will deliver Michigan Law’s Senior Day address on Friday, May 6.

Meltzer, who also? earned a JD from Columbia Law School, has written 10 novels that have made The New York Times bestsellers list, including The Inner Circle, The Book of Fate, The Tenth Justice, Dead Even, The First Counsel, and The Fifth Assassin. His forthcoming book, The House of Secrets, will be published in June.

“It’s an honor to welcome Brad Meltzer to celebrate Senior Day with us,” said Mark D. West, dean and Nippon Life Professor of Law. “Brad’s experiences will be meaningful to the Class of 2016 as they look toward to the next chapter in their lives.”

According to Meltzer’s website, in addition to his fiction novels, he is one of the only authors to have books on the bestsellers lists for nonfiction (History Decoded), advice (Heroes for My Son and Heroes for My Daughter), children’s books (I Am Amelia Earhart and I Am Abraham Lincoln), and comic books (Justice League of America, for which he received the prestigious Eisner Award). In addition to writing, Meltzer has hosted two television series, “Brad Meltzer’s Decoded,” which aired on The History Channel from 2010 to 2012, and “Lost History,” which aired on the H2 network in 2014.

Michigan Law’s Senior Day ceremonies will be held at 4 p.m. May 6 in Hill Auditorium.???
