Miller Canfield presented a Before the Bell Breakfast Forum on Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. This forum took a look at “Succession Planning—The Next Generation.” Among those taking part in the forum were (l-r) Todd Sander, Adam Kaplan, Scott Baldwin, Jack Noonan, Mike Coakley and Gary Glenn of Miller Canfield, Dan Elsie, Craig Adams, and John Ferry. During the program, Gary Glenn discussed who to sell/transfer a family business to, how to assure a continued stream of income, possible estate and income tax implications, how to guard against loss of wealth in the event of a divorce, and more.
