The Oakland County Bar Association presented a free People’s Law College program on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the Ferndale Public Library. The free event was designed to help educate members of the community on different areas of the law and to assist attendees in finding answers to their legal questions with first-hand insight from local attorneys. A free Ask-a-Lawyer session was also held for the duration of the program. Participants had an opportunity to talk one-on-one to an attorney and receive brief advice and counsel regarding their personal questions and concerns. The attorneys were able to discuss topics including juvenile, family, bankruptcy, probate, criminal, general civil, and landlord/tenant matters.
