Community Connections

Justices of the Michigan Supreme Court journeyed to northern Michigan last week, visiting Petoskey for the Court Community Connections program on April 25. The seven-member court, which is missing one member since the recent retirement of Justice Robert Young, heard oral argument at Petoskey High School, offering students an opportunity to better understand the appellate courts and Michigan’s judicial system. In a photo op at the program, seven judges from Emmet and Charlevoix counties joined their state judicial colleagues for the occasion. Pictured: (front row, l-r) Justice Joan L.
