Wayne Law to host conference on 'Race, Gender and Wrongful Convictions' Feb. 26

Join Wayne Law as three guest speakers examine the intersection of race, gender and wrongful conviction at a conference scheduled for 12:45-5:25 p.m. Tuesday, February 26.

It will be held at Wayne State University Law School, Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium, 471 W. Palmer in Detroit.

Guest speakers Prof. Samuel Gross and Dr. Zieva Konvisser will discuss issues of race and gender before panelists and audience. Prof. David Moran will chair a panel in which exonerees Julie
Baumer, Richard Phillips, Aaron Salter and Darrel Siggers describe their experiences of having been wrongfully convicted.

The event is co-sponsored by Wayne State University Law School and WSU Criminal Justice Department. There is no cost to attend, and lunch will be provided.
