Varnum article is National Law Review’s ‘Article of the Year’

The National Law Review, a daily legal news website, recently announced that Varnum attorneys Kimberly Clarke and Nina Thekdi are the authors of NLR’s top read “Article of the Year.” Their article, USCIS Outlines Protocols for New Employment Permanent Residence Interviews, had over 100,000 page views in 2018.

The announcement was made as part of NLR’s Go-To Thought Leadership Awards, honoring excellence in legal news and analysis. The awards recognize exceptional authors and legal organizations for their reporting of complex legislative and litigation news, as well as strategic insight and overall industry knowledge. Recipients of the awards were lauded for providing “consistent, insightful legal analysis.”

Clarke and Thekdi are frequent contributors to NLR with regular updates and analysis of immigration matters. They work on a wide variety of immigration matters, including nonimmigrant petitions, employment- and family-based permanent residence applications, expatriation and foreign visa issues.

National Law Review Managing Director Jennifer Schaller noted that Clarke and Thekdi’s article was timely and informative. “This article provided many readers with the information they needed, right as they needed it,” Schaller said.
Recipients of the Go-To Thought Leadership awards were selected by NLR 's editors from a pool of over 100,000 legal news and analysis articles.

“We looked for contributors who exhibited particular expertise in a legal area and helped clarify the issues for corporate counsel, business professionals and other legal consumers,” Schaller said. “The selected authors and organizations truly are the ‘Go-To Thought Leaders’ in their fields.”
