The Detroit Legal Services Clinic provides information and advice from volunteer attorneys in the areas of divorce, child support, domestic relations issues, expungements, self-representation, and general civil law. The clinic is from 12-3 p.m. Tuesday, April 30 at the Penobscot Building, 13th Floor, Smart Detroit Conference Rooms, 645 Griswold in Detroit. Volunteers may arrive at 11:30 a.m. for lunch. • Women Lawyers Association of Michigan 101st Annual Meeting
May 3-4

Join the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan for the 101st Annual Meeting from 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 3 through 7 p.m. Saturday, May 4 at Park Place Hotel, 300 E. State St. in Traverse City. Enjoy great views of the bay from “Top of the Park” at the hotel during a reception honoring the 2019 WLAM Foundation scholarship recipients from 6:30-9 p.m. Friday. (The reception will show as an optional add-on during registration.) The Annual Meeting will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 4. The program features a “Glass Ceilings” panel, legislative updates, awards and the swearing-in ceremony. Panelists include Zenell Brown, court administrator, Wayne County Third Circuit Court; Alisha Cieslak, chief legal and risk officer, Gordon Food Service; Captain Amy Dehner, Michigan State Police; and Kathleen McCann, executive chairman, United Road Services. Non-members pay $75 to attend the meeting. Following the meeting, from 2:45-7 p.m., will be a visit to two area wineries, Chateau Chantal and Bowers Harbor Vineyards.
