2019 Mentor Jet speed networking program for law students
The Auburn Hills campus of Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, the Career and Professional Development Department and the Organization of Women Law Students (Auburn Hills, chapter) hosted the 2019 Mentor Jet speed networking program for law students. The event is sponsored by the National Association of Women Judges (NAWJ) and coordinated by Judge Michelle Rick, 29th Circuit Court and Michigan chair for the NAWJ.
During the event, law students, recent graduates and newly admitted attorneys had the opportunity to meet judges and attorneys allowing for those in attendance to meet with a variety of legal professionals and gain knowledge about working in the field of law. Nearly 20 legal professionals spoke about their experiences as attorneys using the speed mentoring format.
Dean Joan P. Vestrand stated, "Every year we look forward to this signature event and thank Judge Rick and all the Mentors for their dedication to mentoring our future lawyers."
