McNally named managing partner of Pepper Hamilton’s Detroit office
Sean P. McNally, a partner in Pepper Hamilton LLP’s Trial and Dispute Resolution Practice Group and co-chair of the Automotive Industry Group, has been named managing partner of the Detroit office. He succeeds Thomas P. Wilczak, who led the office for 10 years.
 McNally focuses his practice on the construction, manufacturing and real estate industries, where he manages high-exposure litigation matters and serves as external general counsel to a variety of companies. He also manages transactional matters in the automotive, construction and real estate areas.
 McNally is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, was named one of Detroit’s top lawyers by DBusiness Magazine, and is included on the 2019 Michigan Super Lawyers list.
He is a member of the board of trustees of the Fanny Strong Foundation, a fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America, a fellow of the Oakland County Bar Foundation, and a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Civil Procedure and Courts Committee since 2008. He is also a member of the Original Equipment Supplier’s Association, the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
McNally received his B.A. from James Madison College at Michigan State University and his J.D, cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law, where he earned a trial practice certificate from the MSU Trial Practice Institute.
SBM to host Lawyer Trust Accounts Seminar Feb. 25
The State Bar of Michigan will host “Lawyer Trust Accounts: Management Principles & Recordkeeping Resources” on Tues., Feb. 25 from 1:45 to 4:45 at the State Bar of Michigan Michael Franck Building in Lansing (306 Townsend St.).
This half-day ethics seminar will feature presentations on how to manage lawyer trust accounts, including how to effectively use forms, checklists, and other recordkeeping resources. The seminar, which is open to lawyers and their staffs, is an excellent way to learn how to comply with Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.15 and 1.15A.
Participants will receive practical information as well as materials prepared by the presenters.

The registration fee is $50 for lawyers and $25 for non-lawyers, including law students and unlicensed graduates.
