Fishman Stewart attorney launches ‘The Litigation War Room’ podcast


Fishman Stewart attorney and intellectual property litigator, Maxwell Goss, has launched a podcast entitled “The Litigation War Room.”

 Listeners of “The Litigation War Room” will hear from litigation pros about resources, strategies, and stories of interest to courtroom lawyers in every area of law. Featured podcast guests are renowned lawyers from around the country offering engaging stories and practical insights on a range of issues.

 To date, podcast topics and guests have included:

 • Devastating cross-examination with Norman Lippitt;

• Maximizing damages with Patrick Salvi;

• Litigating business breakups with Peter Mahler;

• Building a fireproof law firm with Mike Morse;

• The art of the bench trial with Aaron Phelps;

Upcoming episodes will address topics including crafting strategies, persuading judges, and deposing expert witnesses, among others.

 At Fishman Stewart, Goss focuses his IP litigation practice on trade secret, trademark, patent, and copyright matters, as well as licensing and technology disputes. Further, he provides strategic advice to businesses and individuals on IP, internet law, and business law matters.

 Prior to joining Fishman Stewart in 2021, Goss managed his own successful firm in Birmingham, Michigan. Prior to that, he practiced law at a large Midwest law firm and at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP, where he was trained by one of Texas’s premier business trial lawyers. Goss holds a J.D., with honors, from Notre Dame Law School, a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. from Western Michigan University.

 

‘Membership Maximizer’hosted online Aug. 19
 

Oakland County Bar Association members and potential members are invited to learn the benefits of OCBA membership and how to best access them.

An “OCBA Membership Maximizer” will be offered online Thursday, August 19, from 8 to 9 a.m. via Zoom.
