Former University of Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr, who led the Wolverines to a national championship in 1997, was the keynote speaker at the 29th Annual Scholarship Dinner for the Transportation Club of Detroit on October 18 at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn. The event is held annually to raise scholarship funds for students enrolled in the transportation programs at five Michigan colleges, according to Fritz Damm, a Detroit attorney who served as chair of the October 19 dinner.
