Firm's Banking group invests in new attorney, Paolini

Attorney Frank D. Paolini recently joined Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest law firms, as a member of the firm’s Banking, Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group.

“Frank continues to grow professionally since he first joined the firm last year as a Summer Associate in our group,” said Douglas C. Bernstein, the firm’s Banking, Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group Leader. “Frank is a talented attorney who understands how to manage assignments quickly and efficiently while working to protect his clients’ interests.”

A member of the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office, Paolini focuses his practice in the areas of loan origination and troubled asset workouts.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Paolini participated in Plunkett Cooney’s 2011 Summer Associate program in both the banking law and commercial litigation practice groups. In addition, he externed in the Public Integrity, Homicide, and Community Prosecutions Divisions of the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.

A member of the State Bar of Michigan, Paolini received his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2012. While there, he served as the Executive Director of the Moot Court Board of Advocates and as a Senior Editor of the University of Detroit Law Review. He also participated in University of Detroit Criminal Defense Clinic and served as a contributing student member of the Dean’s Advisory Committee. Paolini received his undergraduate degree, with high distinction, from University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2009.

The members of Plunkett Cooney’s Banking, Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group have represented banks, savings and loan associations, mortgage companies, credit unions and finance companies for over 25 years. Members of the group have over 150 years of combined experience as in-house bank counsel prior to joining the firm.

Celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, Plunkett Cooney employs 160 attorneys in nine Michigan cities, Columbus, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana.
