Jaffe partner honored by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education

 Diana Raimi, a partner at the Ann Arbor, Mich. office of Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C., has been honored by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) with the Blaine B. Johnson Jr. Award. Jaffe CEO Bill Sider made the announcement.


This award honors the late Blaine B. Johnson Jr., a family law attorney and former member of the ICLE Family Law Advisory Board, and recognizes one attorney annually for his or her contributions to continuing education and mentorship in family law. Raimi was honored in front of fellow family law attorneys, judges and referees during the ICLE Family Law Institute meeting.

Ms. Raimi has extensive experience in domestic relations law, including pre-and-post nuptial agreements, high-asset divorce cases, property division and financial matters. In addition to traditional client representation, Ms. Raimi also serves as a trained mediator and arbitrator. A respected author and frequent speaker, Ms. Raimi wrote the third through sixth editions of the Michigan Family Law Property Settlements chapter, which is frequently cited by attorneys, trial courts and the Court of Appeals. Currently, Ms. Raimi serves as reviewing editor for the Michigan Family Law Bench Book for Michigan Judges, a role she has heldsince 1999.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Ms. Raimi earned her bachelor’s degree in biology with high distinction. She then went on to earn her juris doctorate from the University of California Boalt Hall School of Law. Ms. Raimi is a member of the Washtenaw County Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She has received numerous accolades, including being voted one of the top 50 women attorneys in Michigan.
