State Police offer testing opportunity for interested applicants in Saginaw and Flint areas

 The Michigan State Police (MSP) is hosting an Entry-Level Law Enforcement Exam testing opportunity for persons in the Saginaw and Flint areas who are interested in becoming MSP troopers, motor carrier officers, conservation officers and state properties security officers on November 15 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Hospital Health Education Center, 800 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw.  


Applicants who are interested in joining the MSP can take the first step by completing the Entry-Level Law Enforcement Exam that evaluates an applicant’s skills, knowledge and abilities related to the elements of a law enforcement position. This event is a unique opportunity for Saginaw and Flint area residents since the Entry-Level Law Enforcement Exam is usually offered in Lansing and Detroit.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the exam beginning promptly at 9 a.m. The exam will take approximately three hours to complete. It will be followed by an informational session about careers with the MSP from noon to 1 p.m. 

Space is limited and interested candidates must register by October 31. To sign-up, complete the following steps:

• Register for the Entry-Level Law Enforcement Exam on the Michigan Civil Service Commission website at www.michigan.gov/mdcs. Select any testing date and a location available after November 15.

• Next, to sign up for the Saginaw location, send an email to msprecruiting@michigan.gov with name, date of birth, phone number and specify you are registering for the November 15 Entry-Level Law Enforcement Exam.
