Attorney Bryan Stevenson (left), Director of the Equal Rights Initiative/famed social activist/NYU Law School professor / author/death penalty defense and Judge Herman Marable, Jr. of Genesee County (MI) 67th District Court. The occasion was The Roeper School 75th Anniversary Gala Celebration and Golden Apple Awards ceremony held at Royal Oak Music Theatre on Friday, February 17, 2017. Attorney Stevenson was the keynote speaker and Golden Apple Award honoree. Judge Marable is a 1980 alumnus of The Roeper School, member of the Roeper School Board of Trustees, and previous Golden Apple Award honoree.
