CEO elected to board of Leadership Oakland

Christine Logan, president and CEO of James E. Logan & Associates, has been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors for Leadership Oakland, a leadership and networking organization serving Southeast Michigan.

Logan, who earned her bachelor of arts degree in advertising from Michigan State University in 1991, is a graduate of the Leadership Oakland Cornerstone Program, which has brought together leaders from corporate, civic, and nonprofit organizations throughout the region to delve into key business issues. In 2014, she was recognized as a “Leader of Leaders” honoree.

With 30 years of experience in the personal injury claims industry, Logan is the principal of the only female-owned, independent structured settlement consulting firm in the U.S. As an active member of the National Structured Settlements Trade Association (NSSTA), Logan serves on the Legislative and Regulatory Committee and also is a member of the Innovation Committee. From 2001-14, she was on the board of directors and served as liaison to the Government Benefits Committee, addressing issues involving the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Logan obtained the designation of Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (CSSC) from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame in 1995. She was in the inaugural class of the NSSTA master’s program at Notre Dame in 2015, becoming just one of only 38 professionals to hold the MSSC designation.

A longtime resident of Oakland County, Logan is the mother of two children, Joe and Sabrina. Joe graduated in May from the Eli Broad School of Business at MSU with a degree in supply chain management. Sabrina is a junior at Grand Valley State University, where she is studying advertising and media relations.
