Mutch joins board of Meijer Gardens

Craig A. Mutch, Managing Member of Miller Johnson, joined the Board of Directors at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park on July 1.

Mutch joined Miller Johnson in 1977 after graduating cum laude from Wayne State University Law School. His practice is focused on representing a wide range of public and private businesses and organizations in labor and employment law matters. He has a significant practice in the area of school law and has been involved in many high profile cases.

Mutch is named in The Best Lawyers in America® for both Education Law and Labor and Employment Law. He serves on the firm’s management committee and has been General Counsel for Miller Johnson.

Mr. Mutch is on the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity's Talent Development Committee which launched a Fellows program that provides leadership, relationship-building, and networking training. He is a member of the Michigan Council of School Attorneys where he was a member of the Board of Directors. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, the Grand Rapids Bar Association, Industrial Relations Research Association, and the Human Resources Group of Grand Rapids. His other current community activities include serving on the Board of Directors for Hospice of Michigan Foundation and The Right Place, the private economic development organization.

Meijer Gardens was recently ranked in the top 100 most-visited art museums worldwide by Art Newspaper. The 132-acre grounds feature Michigan’s largest tropical conservatory; one of the largest children’s gardens in the country; arid and Victorian gardens; a carnivorous plant house; outdoor gardens; the acclaimed Sculpture Park; and a 1900-seat outdoor amphitheater.
