Frederick Dilley returns to Foster Swift

Foster Swift Collins & Smith PC welcomes back Frederick D. Dilley as a shareholder for the law firm's Grand Rapids office and a member of the General Litigation Practice Group. Dilley began his career at Foster Swift, serving as a paralegal and investigator from 1969 to 1973 before attending law school and then as a summer law clerk during law school.

Dilley has established himself as a successful litigator with more than 30 years of highly successful legal experience in private practice, litigation and mediation. Currently, he concentrates his practice in the areas of complex civil litigation, environmental and natural resource protection law, family law, and alternative dispute resolution, especially mediation. Dilley has been recognized by Best Lawyers of America®, in the areas of Arbitration, Mediation and Personal Injury Plaintiff Litigation as well as by Super Lawyers, for Law and Politics in the state of Michigan

Dilley is a graduate of Michigan State University's James Madison College and earned his law degree from the Michigan State University College of Law, formerly known as the Detroit College of Law. He remains a member of the board of trustees of the Michigan State University College of Law. Dilley is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, which is composed of the top 1% of trial lawyers in the United States and Canada and is widely considered to be the premier professional trial organization. In addition, he is a member of the International Society of Barristers, an exclusive honor society of outstanding trial lawyers chosen by their peers.
