The Michigan ADB is the adjudicative arm of the MSC for discharge of its exclusive constitutional responsibility to supervise and discipline Michigan attorneys.  It consists of six attorneys and three non-attorneys appointed by the MSC.

Appointees serve on a volunteer basis. The ADB appoints three-attorney panels, composed of volunteers, which hear attorney misconduct matters and recommend sanctions against attorneys who violate ethics rules. The ADB may also review a hearing panel’s decision and can affirm or alter the level of discipline.
