Cooley Law School’s chapter of the  Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, the Percy J. Power Senate, has been awarded the honor of editing the 19th edition of the fraternity’s annual law journal, The Adelphia Law Journal, in celebration of the fraternity’s 100th anniversary. The fraternity’s editorial board will select and edit submissions and publish the issue. There will be two editors-in-chief, one managing editor and nine senior editors.

The Adelphia Law Journal was founded in 1981 by Sigma Nu Phi Legal Fraternity and was subsequently adopted by Delta Theta Phi when the two fraternities merged in 1989. Delta Theta Phi is the only law fraternity with an authoritatively recognized law journal. The journal is written and edited exclusively by members of the fraternity, both students and graduates, and deals with legal issues on a national or international scale. Each edition of the journal is edited by one of the fraternity’s student chapters (called senates), and a selection is made by the fraternity’s governing body, the Supreme Senate.

Delta Theta Phi is an international, professional law fraternity and a member of the Professional Fraternity Association. It traces its roots to 1900 when it was established at Cleveland Law School (now Cleveland-Marshall Law School). Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, International is headquartered at Campbell Univer-

sity, Norman A. Wiggins School of Law, in Raleigh, N.C. The fraternity provides a forum for students, lawyers and other fraternity members to network, exchange ideas and knowledge, and create professional affiliations and personal friendships.

The Percy J. Power Senate hosts a number of relevant legal programs and events to help prepare its members and other Cooley Law School students for the legal profession.
