Rhoades McKee welcomes Julie Blindauer


Rhoades McKee announces that Julie Blindauer has joined the firm as a summer associate.

Blindauer currently attends Notre Dame Law School where she anticipates receiving a J.D. in May 2017. Her volunteer activities in-clude serving as an applicant interviewer for the Yale Ambassadors/Alumni Schools Committee and tutoring high school students in South Bend, Ind. Her work experience includes working as summer law clerk for the U.S. Air Force–Judge Advocate General Corps.

Blindauer is a graduate of Yale University.

 

Warner Norcross partner  Harder to serve as Chair-Elect of Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area
 

Mark K. Harder, a partner with Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, will serve as chair-elect of the board of trustees of the Community Founda-tion of the Holland/Zeeland Area.

The Community Foundation seeks to create lasting positive change, build a permanent community endowment that supports high impact charitable projects, help donors achieve their charitable goals and lead and partner in community-level initiatives. Harder joined the board in spring 2014 and also serves on the development committee.

Based in the firm’s Holland office, Harder chairs the Family Office Group for Warner Norcross, practicing in estate planning and administration for high-net-worth individuals and representing family-owned businesses and their owners.

Harder is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, Ottawa County Bar Association, and Michigan State Bar Foundation.   He also is a member of Attorneys for Family Held Enterprises. He holds a seat on the Institute of Continuing Legal Education Probate and Estate Planning Advisory Board and is a charter member of the Leading Lawyers Advisor Board.

From 2003 until 2010, Harder led efforts by the State Bar of Michigan to write the Michigan Trust Code, as well as other legislation regulating how trusts are handled in the state. In 2015, he authored a commentary for Michigan’s Uniform Principal and Income Act. He also co-authored the Estates and Protected Individuals Code with Reporters’ Commentary 2010-2016 for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education.

Harder has been recognized as a Michigan Super Lawyer since 2006 and on The Best Lawyers in America list since 2005; he was named 2010 Lawyer of the Year for Trusts and Estates in the Grand Rapids area.

Harder is a graduate of Leadership Holland and active in many community organizations, including the Center for Women in Transition, Hospice of Holland and the Family Business Alliance.
