“Best Law Firms” recognizes Miller Johnson with 31 tier one rankings



U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers has released the 2017 “Best Law Firms” rankings today. Miller Johnson received tier one rankings for 24 practice areas in Grand Rapids Area and 7 in Kalamazoo.

Miller Canfield’s Gustavo presents expert controls ITAR?and EAR?training


Miller Canfield attorney Joseph Gustavus will present Export Controls: ITAR and EAR Training to business leaders who are exporting, or interested in exporting, goods in the global marketplace. 
The training program, presented by the Van Andel Global Trace Center, will take place 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Nov. 10, at Grand Valley State University, 201 Front St. SW, Grand Rapids, and will  help attendees gain knowledge  in the areas of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). It will offer a comprehensive overview and intermediate concepts for both, regulatory frameworks, best practices and exemptions.

“We are partnering with Van Andel Global Trade Center to present this information because it is a well-known and respected organization that helps business in Michigan grow...,” Gustavus said. 
Gustavus is a principal in the  Export Controls practice group, and counsels and assists clients with domestic and international acquisitions and commercial transactions.
