Harvest Gatherimg yields $308,000 and 403,000 pounds of food; Sparta leads Secretary of State offices in food donaions



Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette and the Food Bank Council of Michigan announced that donations for the 26th Annual Michigan Harvest Gathering Giving Campaign reached $308,000 and 403,000 pounds of food, which will provide 2.2 million meals to families across Michigan.

Secretary of State Ruth John announced that SOS branch offices collected more than 21,000 pounds of food and $7,000 during the 2016 Harvest Gathering food drive. The 2015 SOS campaign raised $1,500 and over 14,000 pounds of food.

The Sparta office ranked first in food collection, bringing in more than 15,000 pounds of food. The Northeast Wayne County PLUS Office collected 593 pounds of food and the Secretary of State building at the state Secondary Complex brought in approximately 740 pounds of food and raised more than $2,600. The Ionia office collected more than $1,610.

Loïc M.  Dimithe joins Miller Johnson


Miller Johnson welcomes Loïc M. Dimithe as an Associate in the Grand Rapids office.  He was a summer associate in 2015.

Dimithe earned his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law in 2016 and his B.A. from University of North Alabama in 2013.  He was a Judicial Intern for The Hon. Victoria Roberts, Eastern District of Michigan, in 2014, and a Judicial Intern for The Hon. Robert Jonker, Western District, in the summer of 2015.

Dimithe has lived in four countries and is fluent in French.

He will be a part of the firm’s business section in doing corporate work, mergers and acquisitions, and finance.
