Secrest Wardle announces two new associates


Secrest Wardle congratulates Michael S. King and Dane M. Lepola on passing the bar exam. King and Lepola have both accepted Associate positions with the firm; King in Grand Rapids and Lepola in Troy.

King received his Bachelor of Arts degree with high distinction from the University of Michigan in Organizational Studies. King served on the board of Kappa Omega Alpha, a pre-law professional fraternity. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law and graduated magna cum laude, competing on the appellate moot court team and serving as a teacher’s assistant for first year writing and advocacy classes.

King is a member of the Negligence Law, Real Property Law, Insurance and Indemnity Law, and Young Lawyers Sections of the State Bar of Michigan.

King’s practice areas are Motor Vehicle Litigation; Property, Fire and Casualty; and Real Estate.

Lepola received his B.A.  degree in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy from Michigan State University James Madison College. He earned his J.SD., cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School and graduated cum laude. Lepola was the Editor-in-Chief for the Wayne Law Review. Lepola is a member of the SBM Young Lawyers Section and  an active member of the Detroit Bar Association. He will practice in commercial and business law, construction and product liability.
