Stemple joins NIA Centre Board

Justin W. Stemple, a partner of the Grand Rapids office of Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, has been appointed for a one-year term on the NIA Centre Board.

The nonprofit is working to place a world-class African American Cultural Centre in Grand Rapids.

Stemple focuses his practice on employee stock ownership plans, qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation plans and executive compensation. He leads the firm’s Employee Benefits/Executive Compensation Practice Group and serves on the firm’s Management Committee.

Stemple was named an Up and Coming Practitioner for Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Law in Michigan by Chambers USA in 2020, has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America since 2013 and was named to the Rising Star list from Michigan Super Lawyers for seven years.
 
 

Colvin joins Warner Norcross + Judd
 

Government and economic development attorney Nicholas M. Colvin has joined Warner Norcross + Judd LLP as senior counsel.

An experienced attorney within municipal, state and federal government, Colvin also has a background in real estate and political law and has frequently provided counsel on a wide array of public policy issues. He served in the West Wing under President Barack Obama and as special counsel to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on COVID-19 matters.

He will practice in the firm’s Grand Rapid’s office, where he will focus on impact investing and municipal finance work.

He received a law degree from Harvard Law School. 

A native of Ionia, Colvin resides in Grand Rapids.
